That I actually used and invested in this year!

Introducing the KNW Collection—inspired by Kristin’s time living in the sunshine state + her love of all things lilac and light blue. Full of KNW flare, these 8 items are practical statement pieces you’ll continuously reach for in your closet. This collection is an accidental love letter to Park Avenue in Winter Park, FL, where Kristin would happily wear any piece to brunch after preschool drop off or out for a date night.

I sat down with Kristin to hear what inspired to choose each piece in her exclusive collection with Poppy and Pink.

What inspired The Baldwin Dress?

Named after our old neighborhood in Orlando, which has a darling little downtown area within walking distance around the lake. This navy dress is so versatile, going from day to night with a quick change of shoes and jewelry. I would 100% wear it on a date night with KPW to our favorite sushi place in the neighborhood (I’ll have a glass of red wine and the Sunset Roll).

What inspired The Betsy Dress?

My time in Orlando would not have been the same without Betsy. She took me to brunch at Briarpatch the week after I moved to town, helped me acclimate to living in a brand new state, and quickly became one of my dearest friends. I couldn’t have a Winter Park-inspired collection without a dress in her honor. This smocked blue paisley piece feels polished, but practical, and perfect for her. Ideal for everything from sitting on the floor during library story-time to an outdoor lunch with a best friend . Add a fancy shoe plus some statement earrings and this dress is ready to go out for a date night or celebration.

What inspired The Kona Top?

Named in honor of KPW’s go-to order at our favorite little coffee & tea shop on the Avenue. I can see myself pairing this top with cute shorts or jeans and going to grab a fancy coffee on a day date or to meet a friend after preschool drop off. This top is polished, but fun (that ruffle collar), and a perfect fall transitional piece.

What inspired The Westchester Dress?

There is a side street in Winter Park a dear friend used to live on where I would pop in on my way home from doctor’s appointments to sit and have a coffee at her kitchen island. It was a tough season of longing, and her house was a safe haven. This dress is breezy, makes me feel beautiful, and feels like a warm hug – all at the same time! Putting it on for a day of appointments and coffee with Kim would have been a frequent occurrence. The bows on the sleeves are a chef’s kiss detail.

What inspired The Cooper Top?

Named after one of our favorite easy dinner spots, The Coop; it’s the only place in Orlando I could find Cheerwine (it’s a NC soda) on tap. The Coop is an elevated BBQ joint with a variety of options and it’s always a good idea for supper.

I feel that the Cooper top is the elevated chambray top that will always be a good idea no matter the occasion. It can go with everything from jeans to leather pants with ease. The ruffle details and buttons make it simultaneously a closet staple and statement piece.

What inspired The Orion Top?

When we lived in Orlando, we were affiliated with UCF. Their school colors are black & gold. I would 100% wear this white top with subtle gold details to a game with some cute jeans or a denim skirt, but could also wear for running errands or meeting a friend for lunch. The bow tie back is a bonus detail.

What inspired The Briar Dress?

Fancy pancakes and fried green tomatoes are the way to my heart and the Briarpatch Restaurant has both. This lilac striped dress is the perfect dressy casual ‘let’s go to brunch’ dress. I feel like this dress will be the workhorse of your closet. Casual and comfortable, but somehow perfectly polished. Add a blazer or a jean jacket depending on the mood. Sandals? Flats? A block heel? Your lane, your shoes rules.
